The Project Overview
MIDE commissioned me to redesign their business cards, aiming for a refreshed look that stays true to their brand identity. The brief was clear: use MIDE's signature color, #0C7783, and design a card that balances style with functionality.
The challenge was twofold—incorporate the brand’s identity while ensuring the back had enough space for handwritten notes. I approached this by creating a clean, modern design that highlighted the brand's aesthetic without sacrificing practicality. My goal was to make the card both visually striking and user-friendly.
Bringing It to Life
The final design was digitally printed on 300g recycled paper, aligning with MIDE’s commitment to sustainability. The front of the card featured all the essential information, a sleek logo pattern that added a unique flair, and a QR code linking directly to the website. On the back, I kept it minimal with the owner’s name and logo, leaving ample space for personalized notes—a thoughtful touch that adds a personal element to each interaction.
Making an Impression
This project allowed me to merge creativity with functionality, transforming a simple business card into a powerful branding tool. The result is a professional, elegant card that not only represents MIDE's brand but also serves a practical purpose in everyday use.
This project was more than just a redesign; it was an exercise in thoughtful branding. I learned the importance of balancing aesthetics with usability, especially in something as small but significant as a business card. It reinforced my belief that even the most functional items can be an extension of a brand’s identity, and with the right design, they can make a lasting impression.
Next Steps
The success of this project has inspired me to further explore the intersection of design and functionality in branding. Whether it’s a business card, website, or full-fledged campaign, I’m excited to apply these insights to create designs that not only look great but also serve a meaningful purpose.
